Local file handling. Photos and coordinates stay in browser memory in this page; there is no upload, storage, automatic sync, cloud lookup, or content analytics. Static app delivery still involves a request to its host.
Ready. Choose a task and select JPEG photos.
WHAT THIS CHECK COVERS
A focused GPS check
The Check / Remove task removes the EXIF GPS IFD. Add / Edit writes GPSVersionID, latitude and longitude values, and their hemisphere references. Existing EXIF bytes outside the GPS pointer are retained; XMP, IPTC, and other non-EXIF metadata are not intentionally changed. A GPS tag may be missing, stale, or stored outside the EXIF GPS directory.
Add / Edit accepts signed decimal coordinates to seven decimal places. It does not add a date, time, altitude, or other location details. The written coordinates are visible in the exported JPEG and do not establish where the photo was taken.
JPEG only. HEIC/HEIF, PNG, WebP, TIFF, and other formats are not read. This tool does not remove all personal metadata or guarantee anonymity.
