What does the upload form require?

SPEC

Images keep their proportions and are centered inside the exact output dimensions. Empty space stays transparent for PNG/WebP and white for JPEG—nothing is cropped. Each output is limited to 8 megapixels, with a 24 megapixel total output limit per batch.

The KB limit can lower the WebP encoder setting to a 60% minimum. If the file still cannot fit at that setting, no download is offered; raise the KB limit or choose another format.

Two requirements.
One honest result.

The fitter keeps the requested canvas dimensions exact and tries to meet your KB ceiling. Some combinations cannot fit—especially lossless PNG at very small file sizes. If a file misses either requirement, it is marked not ready and its download stays disabled.

Local processing and target-size controls are already offered elsewhere. The proposed distinction here is the simple, combined “meet the upload spec” check—not a claim that no other tool can do it.
